Tamara "Tammy" Young is a certified nurse midwife. Tammy attended Kaskaskia College for my Associates in Nursing. Her bachelors of science in Nursing was from McKendree College. Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing for her certificate in Midwifery. Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio for her Masters of Science in Nursing.

Tammy has worked in obstetrics since she was 18 years old. She spent 12 years working as an obstetrics Nurse and as a childbirth educator.

Tammy has been at Maryville Womens Center since November 2004. She provides gynecological, preconception, and maternity care. Tammy was the first midwife at Anderson hospital to attend births. As a midwife her care is mostly geared toward the low risk pregnancy population, but she also co-manages many of the high risk patients with Dr Gingrich and Dr. Thompson.

Tammy lives in Greenville, Illinois with her husband, Tony and two beautiful teenage girls, Ashley and Allison.
