Dr. Sanford is returning to her roots, here, in the metro-area. She was born and raised in East St. Louis, IL. and attended East St. Louis Sr. High school. Dr. Sanford finished her undergraduate and post-baccalaureate studies at Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri and The University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida, respectively. After graduating with an M.D. degree in 2006 from Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, Kimberly went on to complete her residency in Lansing, Michigan at the Sparrow Hospital/Michigan State University program. Participating in sports and outdoor activities has been one of her passions. In 2005 Dr. Sanford participated in the "Rock and Roll" half marathon in Virginia Beach, VA as part of the Team In Training group that represents the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. She, certainly, looks forward to getting to know the surrounding communities of the Maryville Women's Center during similar activities promoting health and wellness. Dr. Sanford is excited about the opportunity to serve her community while renewing old relationships and fostering new relationships through her work at the Maryville Women's Center. |
